This volume is dedicated to painter Valenzuela Llanos (b. Chile 1869-1925) a student of noted academia painters Onofre Jarpa and Pedro Lira and considered one of the first grand masters of contemporary Chilean painting. The edition includes full-page color images of his portraits and beautiful landscapes created in the transition period where the 19th century academic art slowly transformed into a "National Painting" as the result of the explosion of new artistic trends of the 20th century in Chile.
