This volume is dedicated to painter, author and politician Ramón Subercaseaux Vicuña, (b. Valparaíso, Chile, 1854-1936), one of the members of the group of artists known as the "Diplomatic artists" whose art is centered in European topics and that included other members such as: Alberto Orrego Luco and José Tomás Errúzuriz.
