This volume is dedicated to Onofre Jafra (b. Villa de Alhué, 1849 - d. Santiago, 1940), considered one of the greatest all-time landscape painters of Chile. Along his fine landscapes, his artistic production included still life paintings, portraits and marine scenes. During his artistic career he received numerous prizes (Salon Oficial) and his disciples included Swimburn, Eugenio Guzman, Manuel Aspillaga and other noted artists.
