Arthur Dorros, reconocido autor e ilustrador estadounidense de literatura infantil, nació el 19 de mayo de 1950 en Washington, D.C., Estados Unidos. Su formación académica incluye un Bachiller en Artes de la Universidad de Wisconsin en Madison, obtenido en 1972, y una certificación de posgrado en enseñanza del Pacific Oaks College en 1979. Antes de dedicarse por completo a la escritura y la ilustración, Dorros tuvo una trayectoria laboral variada, desempeñándose como constructor, carpintero, dibujante, fotógrafo, trabajador hortícola, estibador y profesor, tanto en escuelas primarias como secundarias. Esta diversidad de experiencias, junto con un año viviendo en Sudamérica y su fluidez en español, enriquecerían profundamente su perspectiva y obra. Desde 1979, Arthur Dorros ha cultivado una prolífica carrera, especializándose en libros para niños que a menudo exploran temas multiculturales y presentan un enfoque bilingüe, integrando el español de manera orgánica en sus narrativas.
